Château d'Orion is a 17th-century Béarnaise manor house set within 30 hectares of grounds in the village of Orion, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, positioned between Pau and Biarritz in southwestern France. Originally constructed as a lay abbey and later modified by the Casamayor family who maintained the nearby church, the property was completely renovated in 2003 while preserving its original architectural features and furnishings. Musée du Château de Laàs is an art and decorative arts museum housed in a 17th-century manor house set within a 12-hectare park in Laàs, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Château de Morlanne is a powerful 14th-century brick fortress erected in 1373 by Gaston III of Foix-Béarn (Gaston Fébus) at the border between Landes and Béarn in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Designed by Languedocian architect Sicard de Lordat, the heptagonal structure features unequal angles, pebble arrangements in decorative patterns, a high keep, moats, and interior manor house from the 16th century. The castle dominates a rolling landscape from a stone promontory and houses an extensive art collection bequeathed by its last private owners, the Ritters, who restored it in the 1970s. Now protected as a historic monument under departmental management, it welcomes visitors with guided audio tours, family activities, group visits, and seasonal concerts throughout the year.

Château de Bellocq is a 13th-century fortress strategically positioned on the banks of the Gave de Pau in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. Constructed between 1250 and 1280 under the direction of Gaston VII de Béarn to secure the border with Guyenne, the castle features an irregular quadrilateral plan flanked by seven towers without a central keep. The fortifications were strengthened by Gaston Fébus in 1370 and subsequently modified by Henri II d'Albret in 1542 to counter Spanish invasion threats. Though partially destroyed by Louis XIII in 1620 to prevent Protestant occupation and dismantled in 1622, the ruins stand as a testament to medieval Béarnese military architecture and regional power struggles.
