Château d'Ensigné in Deux-Sèvres was founded in the 12th century by Hugues de Payns and later served as a commandery of the Order of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem with substantial income of 7,000 livres in 1716. Vaudeleigne is a historic château located in François, Département des Deux-Sèvres, featuring architectural elements spanning the 15th to 19th centuries. The original 15th-century building was extensively remodeled during the 19th century with the addition of a new wing topped by a terrace. The residence displays distinctive architectural features including two elegant zinc-covered turrets adorning the main structure and a massive slate-topped tower at the opposite corner. The reception room is available for reservation, making it a versatile venue for cultural and private events in the Poitou-Charentes region.

Château du Boux, situated on the commune of Rom in the Deux-Sèvres, represents a layered medieval heritage with its oldest dwelling possibly dating to the 15th century, surrounded by a fortified enclosure. The seigniory was held by the Blanchard family in the early 16th century, later passing through the Moysen de la Roche-Laugerie, Traversay, and Mascuraud families. A second dwelling was added at a right angle in 1734, creating an L-shaped complex. The estate combines medieval defensive architecture with 18th-century residential construction, currently maintained by the Hi'boux association dedicated to the château's preservation and restoration.
