Castle of Torrelobatón is a well-preserved late medieval fortress in Valladolid's province, built in 1406 by Alfonso Enríquez, 1st Admiral of Castile. The castle features a distinctive square ground-plan with circular turrets at three corners and a keep integrated into the fourth corner, showcasing exceptional medieval military architecture. Its straight parapet and keep turrets are notable design elements. Today the castle is owned by the municipality and open to visitors, housing the Interpretation Centre of the Comunero Movement in its keep, which documents the significant Revolt of the Comuneros against Charles I—a crucial event in Castilian history.
