Castlemartyr Castle is an 800-year-old fortress built around 1420 in the town of Castlemartyr, County Cork, approximately 30 kilometres east of Cork city. Established as the seneschal's seat under James, Earl of Ormond, the castle boasts a storied history involving notable figures including Strongbow, Walter Raleigh, and the Knights Templar.
