Neuwartenburg Castle in Timelkam was commissioned by Count Johann Albert Saint-Julien and designed by architect Anton Erhart Martinelli, built in 1730-32 to commemorate Emperor Karl VI's visit. Painted in distinctive white and yellow, the castle's architecture closely mirrors Vienna's famous Schönbrunn Palace, earning it the local nickname "Klein Schönbrunn" (Little Schönbrunn). Set amidst a beautiful park in the Vöcklabruck District of Upper Austria, this baroque masterpiece represents 18th-century aristocratic architecture. Visits require prior arrangement, and the castle remains an important historical monument reflecting the refined tastes of the Austrian nobility during the baroque period.
