Freyenthurn Castle crowns the southern slopes of Falkenberg hill in Klagenfurt, commanding panoramic views across the landscape. King Ferdinand I's treasurer Hans Angerer commissioned its construction in 1541 and received permission to add 'zu Freyenthurn' to his name upon completion, establishing himself as a prominent nobleman. The original Renaissance architecture reflects early 16th-century refinement, yet the castle underwent significant transformation in the 19th century with Victorian modifications and, in 1884, major renovations that integrated Tudor architectural elements into its present character. Today the castle functions as a sophisticated event venue nestled in Klagenfurt's picturesque surroundings, offering breathtaking views and access to scenic hiking trails on nearby Kreuzbergl. Schloss Mageregg is a Renaissance château in the Annabichl district of Klagenfurt, Austria, built in 1590 by Mager von Fuchsstatt and featuring a distinctive architecture with a closed square design and corner towers. The castle is bordered by the Glan river, moats, and a high wall, with 19th-century renovations updating its appearance. The ground floor and terrace operate as a restaurant, while upper rooms host events and private rentals. Since 2000, the side building has housed the headquarters of the Carinthian Hunters' Association. The castle's romantic setting includes a partially wildlife-enclosed park with fallow deer, creating a unique atmosphere for dining and celebrations.

Schloss Harbach is a well-preserved Renaissance castle located at the eastern edge of Klagenfurt in Austria's Carinthia region. The three-story stone structure with distinctive rectangular windows dates from medieval origins, first recorded in 1213 as a noble residence. Over centuries, the castle changed ownership multiple times, eventually serving as an educational and care facility for girls from the late 19th century until 2002. Administered by the Carinthian Protestant Foundation de La Tour, the castle represents an important piece of regional architectural heritage. While access is limited due to its private facility status, Harbach Castle remains a beautiful and historically significant landmark visible from the exterior near the scenic Wörthersee.
