Castle Villa Zenker in Ferraz de Vasconcelos, São Paulo, is a historical landmark built around 1940 by German refugees Arthur and Elisabeth Zenker, who fled the devastation of World War II in Europe. The castle features a distinctive tower, hand-made sculptures, and paintings, set within grounds that once held plantations of grapes, avocados, and bananas. Expropriated by the municipal government in 2000 and designated as a historical heritage site, the castle has undergone restoration beginning in 2024. Today, the neighborhood itself is named Jardim do Castelo in its honor, and the site is being transformed into a cultural space while preserving the family's legacy and the building's architectural and historical significance.
