Ossining Castle, known as 'Elda,' was built between 1925 and 1927 by David Abercrombie, co-founder of Abercrombie & Fitch, on 60 acres in Ossining, New York. The English Cottage-style mansion was constructed from steel, locally sourced granite, and fieldstone, with its name deriving from the first letters of the Abercrombie children's names. The property has largely fallen into disrepair since its market listing in 2017, though it remains an architectural remnant of the era's prominent estates in the Hudson Valley region.
