Fort Columbia State Park is a 593-acre historical site located at Chinook Point on the Columbia River near Chinook, Washington. Constructed between 1896 and 1903 as part of coastal defense infrastructure protecting the river mouth, the fort remains one of the most intact historic artillery installations in the United States. The park features twelve historic wood-frame buildings from the original fort complex, including officers' homes and artillery batteries with preserved World War II-era guns. Interpretive trails and a visitor center showcase the site's military heritage and its connection to early 19th-century exploration by Lewis and Clark.
