Pennard Castle is an early 12th-century Norman stronghold perched dramatically above Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsula in Wales. Built as a timber ringwork following the Norman invasion, it was strengthened in the 14th century by the powerful Braose family with stone walls and towers, creating a compact fortress around a central courtyard.
