Grimsthorpe Castle in rural Lincolnshire is a stately mansion and the final masterpiece of Sir John Vanbrugh, architect of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard, serving as the ancestral home of the de Eresby family since 1516. The castle stands within a magnificent 3,000-acre estate featuring rolling pastures, lakes, and woodlands landscaped by the celebrated designer Capability Brown. Formal gardens established in the 17th century include a rose garden, walled kitchen garden, and orchard, largely preserved in their original style.
