Ruinas del Castillo de Mormojón occupies a strategic hilltop location in the town of Torremormojón in Palencia province, Castilla y León. Known as the Star of Campos for its commanding position in the landscape, the castle was originally built in the 12th century and reconstructed between 1502 and 1512 as a vital defensive fortification during the medieval period. Today, the ruins reveal one standing wall and the bases of two towers, protected heritage remains that once controlled an extensive view over the Tierra de Campos region alongside other medieval defensive structures.
