Castle of Talamantes is a medieval rock fortress built in 1177, perched atop Monte de la Silla at 875 metres elevation near Talamantes in Zaragoza, Aragon, within the Moncayo Natural Park. This imposing stronghold was originally settled between two ravines and belonged to the Templars by 1209, serving as a crucial border fortress between the ancient Kingdoms of Castile and Aragon. The castle features an elongated masonry structure about 32 by 8 metres with a large rectangular tower at its most accessible end, and although much of the fortification now lies in ruin, the north wall and one tower remain substantially well preserved.
