Castillo de Saelices, also known as El Castillejo or Castillo de Luján, stands in the municipality of Saelices in Cuenca province. This 15th-century fortress features a distinctive square floor plan with an entrance bulwark and six towers positioned at its corners. Located between the ancient Roman cities of Segóbriga and Fosos de Bayona, the castle was originally held by noble families before being acquired by the Catholic Monarchs in 1499. Though now only its walls remain, the fortress represents an important example of medieval defensive architecture in the region.
