Castillo Puertomingalvo rises upon a limestone rocky outcrop at the edge of Puertomingalvo town in Teruel's Gúdar-Javalambre region of Aragón. Of Muslim origin, it is documented in records from 1202 under its former name Ibn Galbón and was conquered by the Templars in the 12th century, with its primary construction likely occurring in the 13th century. The castle underwent comprehensive restoration between 1985 and 1987 with government funding and has been developed as a museum accessible by guided tour through the local tourism office. Designated as a Heritage Site of Cultural Interest under Aragonese cultural heritage law, the fortress exemplifies medieval Templar architecture in the region.
