Castell de Petrés, also known as the Baron of Petrés' house-castle, is a historical fortress constructed in the late 14th and early 15th centuries in the town of Petrés, Valencia, following the Reconquest by troops of King Jaime I. The castle features distinctive architecture comprising two square-shaped defensive bodies positioned atop and on the south slope of a hilltop, commanding views over the historic road of Sagunto. This unique configuration provided strategic oversight of the Campo de Murviedro region. Recognized as a significant cultural heritage monument with national protection, the castle represents an important example of late medieval Valencian defensive architecture and remains a testament to the region's complex history during the Christian Reconquest period.
