El Castellet d'Orba is an ancient Muslim fortress dating to the 11th century, positioned on a dramatic hilltop at 416 meters altitude in the Marina Alta comarca of Alicante. The fortified complex occupies approximately 2,812 square meters and features defensive architecture adapted to its rugged setting. Though often associated with Moorish construction, the fortress gained its final form during later medieval periods. Today, El Castellet is accessible via the challenging SL-CV 92 hiking trail, which offers spectacular 360-degree panoramic views spanning towns, valleys, and mountain ranges throughout the region.
