Castillo de Mora de Rubielos is a medieval fortress of Muslim origin located on a hillside in the Sierra de Gudar in Aragon, approximately 41 kilometers from Teruel near the Castellón provincial border. Conquered by Alfonso II in 1171 and rebuilt in the 12th-13th centuries after Christian reconquest, the castle showcases Gothic architectural style with four distinctive façades and a chapel incorporated into one of its four towers. The structure features rooms arranged around a central courtyard and displays a notable collection of medieval weaponry and scale models of siege equipment. An entrance fee of €5 includes a complimentary audio guide, providing visitors with an immersive journey through the castle's medieval history and strategic importance in the region's reconquest period.
