Castell d'Alèdua is an Arab fortress constructed around the end of the 12th century, situated on a hilltop four kilometers east of Llombai near the Magre River. The rectangular structure features a three-story central tower with basement, built in rammed earth on a stone foundation measuring 7.3 by 7.3 meters with a height of approximately 16.5 meters. Conquered by James I in 1238, the castle represents the last vestige of an ancient Andalusian settlement abandoned during the 1609 expulsion. The municipality acquired and restored the property, establishing a recreational area at its base while preserving this significant 12th-century defensive landmark.
