Castell de la Llosa stands at 1,600 metres altitude on a rocky crag above the Vall de la Llosa in Lles de Cerdanya, a solitary and well-preserved mountainous region. Declared a cultural property of national interest, the castle features remains of crenellated walls and a rectangular building with an access door framed by a semicircular arch with roughly cut stones. The site sits beside the chapel of Sta. Maria dels Àngels, an old chapel of the castle. The Vall de la Llosa, stretching approximately 20 kilometres through Pyrenean subalpine forest, provides a scenic setting where visitors can experience medieval ruins within pristine mountain terrain.
