Castell de Jorba occupies the summit of Puig de la Guàrdia at approximately 500 meters altitude in Jorba, Barcelona, serving as a commanding observation point over the Òdena basin. Built in the late 10th century, the castle features a large circular tower—likely the original structure—to which quadrangular additions were made possibly during the 12th or 13th centuries. Originally the center of the barony of Jorba ruled by the Jorba family, it later passed to the Cardona and Castellolí families, with Guerau de Jorba notably participating in medieval conquests of Lleida, Tortosa, and Tarragona. Destroyed by Carlists in 1835 during the First Carlist War, it now stands abandoned in ruins with circular and quadrangular wall fragments remaining.
