Castillo de Jarque is a Gothic fortress in Jarque de Moncayo, Zaragoza, built atop a commanding hill overlooking the Aranda valley with a compact trapezoidal plan measuring roughly 25 by 30 meters. Documented as early as 1147, the castle passed through multiple noble families including the Fernández de Luna, Urrea, and counts of Aranda, each adding modifications and reforms. The structure features four distinctive conic-shaped towers with pointed merlons in Mudéjar style, built entirely of masonry with ashlar corners and bases creating a slight defensive slope. Though the interior lies in ruins, the castle's dramatic hillside position and architectural details speak to its importance as a seigniorial residence in medieval Aragon.
