Mirador del Castillo de Herce, known locally as Torre Fuerte, is a 13th-century strong tower built above rocky cliffs in the Cidacos valley of La Rioja, rising 593 meters above the surrounding landscape. Constructed on the remains of an earlier Islamic fortification that was subsequently adapted for Christian use, the castle represents medieval military architecture adapted for its dramatic hilltop setting. The structure commands expansive views spanning the entire valley from Arnedillo to Arnedo, making it an important historical landmark in the region. Nearby stands the Ermita de El Salvador chapel, and the site has undergone archaeological work to preserve both visible and buried sections of the fortification's remains.
