Pazo do Conde de Gondomar is a medieval fortress located in a forested 30-hectare estate south of Gondomar in Galicia. Originally founded between the 14th and 15th centuries, it was significantly fortified between 1602 and 1609 when Diego Sarmiento de Acuña received the title of Count of Gondomar for defending the coast from pirate attacks. The structure suffered damage during a 1665 Portuguese invasion and an 18th-century fire, but underwent restoration after the estate united with the Duchy of Medinaceli through marriage. Designated as a Cultural Heritage Asset in 1999, visitors can explore portions of the gardens and view the north façade and historic walls.
