El Castell de Font-rubí is a historic fortress perched on a strategic hilltop in the Penedès region of Catalonia, commanding panoramic views over the surrounding plains. Dating back to the late 9th century, the castle has been documented since 983 as an important defensive stronghold. Built originally on Castellot hill at 759 meters elevation, it served as the center of the barony of Font-rubí for centuries under various noble families including the Queralt and Mediona lineages. Though now heavily ruined with only fragmentary walls and a deteriorating round tower remaining, the site preserves significant medieval heritage and continues to be valued for its historical significance and spectacular vantage point overlooking the Penedès landscape.
