The Castillo del Marqués de Dílar is a 19th-century Alhambrista-style palace residence occupying a location in Dílar, Granada that once held a medieval fortress conquered from the Moors by the first Marquis in 1491. Built in 1888 by Francisco Ramírez Amador for the Marquis Pablo Díaz Ximenez, this triangular-layout structure incorporates beautiful French gardens with romantic elements, interior courtyards, and Nazari-inspired architectural details echoing the Alhambra's ornamental style. The palace demonstrates a synthesis of Moorish and European design traditions, set within carefully landscaped grounds featuring manicured hedges and historic fountains.
