The Castell de Sant Marçal is an 11th-century castle in Cerdanyola del Vallès that stands as a symbol of Catalan heritage, recognized as a Cultural Asset of National Interest since 1949. First documented in the 12th century as a possession of Count Ramon Berenguar IV of Barcelona, the castle originally featured a square plan with central courtyard and Gothic chapel, surrounded by defensive moats. Its 1895 restoration by architect Gaietà Buïgas preserved the original structure while adding Romanesque and Gothic-inspired décor, and today the castle serves as an elegant event venue with a winery lounge, ceremonial spaces, and manicured gardens accommodating celebrations.
