Torre de Sande is a 14th-century medieval fortress now standing as a defensive tower in Cartelle, Galicia. The rectangular keep, measuring 6.4 by 5.8 meters and rising 13 meters high, was constructed with precisely-worked granite blocks and positioned directly on prominent cliffs above the Arnoia and Miño rivers. Originally part of a larger fortified complex, the tower has origins documented from the 12th century when it was donated to the Monastery of San Salvador de Celanova. This historic monument, declared a Cultural Heritage Asset in 1949, retains strategic views of the surrounding landscape and offers insight into medieval Galician defensive architecture.
