Castillo de Bijuesca in Zaragoza, located 50 kilometers from the city of Calatayud, represents a 14th-century frontier fortress strategically positioned at the boundary between the Kingdom of Aragon and Castilian Soria. Constructed by order of Pedro IV of Aragon in 1357, it comprises three terraced enclosures built upon a rocky promontory, with the lower enclosure featuring a rectangular gate tower reinforced with stone ashlars and corbels. The castle is designated as a Cultural Asset of Interest under Aragonese heritage law.
