Castell de Benifallim stands on a rocky outcrop in Alicante province, distinguished by its large square keep tower dominating a fortress with polygonal plan. Conquered by Jaime I in the thirteenth century, the castle subsequently passed through various lordships before depopulation followed the expulsion of Moriscos from the region. Currently in progressive ruin, the fortress remains accessible to visitors, offering views of surviving wall fragments, tower foundations, and masonry construction reflecting medieval military architecture. The site can be reached via a path from Penáguila-Torremanzanas, providing insight into the area's medieval defensive network.
