Torre Vigía La Martina is an ancient defensive tower of Arab origin that has become an iconic landmark of Ayllón in Segovia province. The tower is all that remains of the ancient Church of San Martín del Castillo, with stone foundations preserved that attest to its single-nave ecclesiastical structure. Distinctive architectural features include two rounded arches at its base, which likely allowed passage through them to enable defense rounds along the adjacent rampart walls. Positioned on elevated terrain in the town's historic district, the tower offers magnificent views of Ayllón and its surrounding landscape. The site is accessible by a slight uphill walk from the Plaza Mayor and remains an important example of medieval defensive architecture and ecclesiastical history in the region.
