Château de Vigny is a Renaissance-style castle built in 1504 in the commune of Vigny, Val-d'Oise, nestled within the Vexin Regional Natural Park. Cardinal Georges I d'Amboise, Prime Minister to King Louis XII, commissioned the château as a peaceful retreat from political affairs, making it an emblematic residence of early French Renaissance architecture. The castle subsequently passed through notable hands, including Anne de Montmorency in 1555 and later the Rohan family. In the 19th century, entrepreneur Philippe Vitali undertook significant restoration in the troubadour style, adding a chapel and square dungeon. Ranked as a historic monument in 1984, the castle was meticulously restored after being purchased in 2016 and is listed as a historic site of cultural importance.
