Château de Peixotto is an 18th-century neoclassical 'folie' built around 1760 by architect François Lhote for Samuel Peixotto, a prominent Bordeaux banker. The elegant estate exemplifies Louis XVI-era aesthetics with its symmetrical facade, grand columns, and meticulously detailed ornamentation, surrounded by formal French gardens reflecting the original owner's refined taste and social prominence. Located in Talence near Bordeaux, the château has been inscribed as a historic monument since 1935 and now hosts the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bordeaux, seamlessly blending historical preservation with educational and scientific purpose within its parkland setting.

Castle Thouars is a 14th-15th century hunting lodge situated in the heart of a wooded park in Talence, originally constructed within a royal forest as a recreational retreat for English royalty. Built on the site of a 13th-century bastide established by the Bishop of Bath, the castle later became a prominent seigneurial seat in the 16th century before experiencing significant damage during the French Revolution. Though substantially restored in the 19th century by the Balguerie family, it now retains two of its original four towers. Currently owned by the city and recognized as Talence's oldest castle, it functions as a cultural venue hosting occasional art exhibitions and serving as a picturesque setting for various civic events and performances within its expansive grounds.

Château du Prince Noir, also called Château de Brama, stands in Talence near Bordeaux, reportedly commissioned by Edward III and completed around 1355 as an isolated hunting lodge. The original structure was replaced in the late 15th or early 16th century, preserving the East building, south wall, and portions of the west wing in a distinctive quadrilateral form with two parallel residential structures connected by linking galleries. Officially protected as a historic monument since 1984, it represents an important architectural legacy from medieval Gascon estates.

Château La Tour Haut-Brion was a prestigious Bordeaux wine estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of Graves, ranked as a Cru Classé in the 1953 and 1959 Classifications. Founded in the 16th century and refined through successive ownerships including the Woltner and Dillon families, its five-hectare vineyard blended Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), Cabernet Franc (35%), and Merlot (23%). Though final production occurred in 2005 when the Dillon family discontinued the label, the estate represents a significant chapter in Bordeaux wine history.

Château des Arts is a renovated neoclassical mansion originally built in 1891, being transformed into a major cultural and artistic hub set to open in early 2028 in Talence. This €15 million project will house the municipal school of music and dance, theater courses, and visual arts instruction across 17 music teaching rooms, 3 dance studios, visual arts facilities, and a 150-seat multipurpose hall. The restoration emphasizes sustainability through bioclimatic design, geothermal energy, and green roofing, complemented by a 15,000 square meter park featuring enhanced accessibility. The project reflects the city's commitment to integrating cultural heritage with contemporary innovation, creating an educational arts establishment open to all residents.
