Domaine de la Bachasse is an 19th-century estate situated on a hillside overlooking the Yzeron river near Lyon, its name derived from a historic pond on the grounds. Constructed between 1880 and 1890 by silk merchant Antoine Giraud, the château features distinctive architectural charm and was acquired by the French railways (SNCF) in 1947 to establish a training and leisure center. Today the domain offers reception facilities accommodating up to 200 guests for weddings, corporate seminars, and celebrations, with extensive grounds hosting the annual Bachasse flea market drawing over 300 vendors.
