Château de Bagatelle is a Classical-style castle in Paris designed by architect François-Joseph Bélanger and constructed in the Bois de Boulogne in 1775. Built in just 64 days to settle a wager with Marie-Antoinette, it features refined proportions and is inscribed with "Parva sed opta" (Small but well conceived). The estate encompasses 59 acres of Anglo-Chinese gardens designed by Thomas Blaikie, featuring waterfalls, pagodas, and rosebush-lined paths. The château hosts annual cultural events including concerts, exhibitions, and the prestigious Festival de Chopin à Paris held each June and July in the Orangerie de Bagatelle.
