Château des Tours is a 14th-century fortress located in Montagne, originally featuring three defensive towers—a polygonal dungeon and two circular towers flanking an oblong building on the southern face. The castle passed through generations of Bordeaux parliamentarian families, notably the Calvimant dynasty, who retained ownership from the 16th century until 1849. After restoration by Viollet-le-Duc in the 19th century, the château gradually fell into decline. Today, the site produces wine under the Montagne Saint-Emilion appellation, exemplifying the region's transformation of medieval military strongholds into productive wine estates that maintain historical significance.
