Château de Rochemorin is a Pessac-Léognan appellation wine estate centered on a 77.5-hectare vineyard positioned on one of the highest gravelly hilltops of the region near Martillac. The architectural structure dates to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries; in the eighteenth century it was owned by Charles Louis de Secondat, the future Baron de Montesquieu and Enlightenment philosopher. Owned by André Lurton since 1973, Rochemorin produces mineral, expressive white wines and increasingly fine, elegant red wines from diverse soils and grape varieties. The château's selections regularly feature on over 250 Michelin-starred tables throughout France and internationally.
