Château de Braude is a Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois founded in 1983 by the Bernaleau family in Macau, centered on a magnificent 19th-century building set within an eight-hectare property. The vineyards span multiple communes including Macau, Arsac, and Moulis on diverse soils of gravel, clay, and limestone; deep quaternary-period gravels in Macau provide exceptional drainage and heat retention. Planted sixty percent Cabernet Sauvignon and forty percent Merlot, the estate produces approximately 36,000 bottles annually of silky, refined wine. Certified High Environmental Value since 2017, the château exemplifies contemporary sustainable viticulture.
