Built in 1866 by Parisian architect Pierre-Édouard Dumont, the building showcases Renaissance-inspired sculptural decoration featuring Corinthian columns, gargoyles, and ironwork, with metal roof structures designed by Gustave Eiffel. Originally conceived as a concierge-library building for an even grander residence never completed, the château demonstrates luxurious 19th-century ambition. The structure was restored in 1996 and remains privately held, serving as a testament to the region's architectural heritage.
