Château du Cruguil is a Breton manor estate with origins in the 14th century, located on the outskirts of Lannion in Côtes-d'Armor. The manor's name derives from a Breton word meaning 'mound,' reflecting its prominent hilltop location. Originally built as a classical structure with two linked buildings, the manor was expanded in the 16th century by the Counts of Lannion and underwent significant transformations from 1843 onwards under the Duke of Cars, who added a chapel and extended the south wing. Set within a 5-hectare park featuring formal French gardens with 3,000 flowers, a romantic garden with pond and fountain, and a distinctive 19th-century hedge tunnel, the château welcomes visitors primarily during heritage days.
