Château d'Écoublay is a 17th-century château nestled within an 18-hectare park near Fontenay-Trésigny, just 40 minutes from Paris. Built initially for the Courtenay family and later inherited by the Montceaux lineage, the château was enlarged in the 19th century and subsequently housed Italian Scalabrinian monks from 1951 to 2000, serving as an international religious seminar center. The estate features a symmetrical façade with extensive windows, high-tech meeting facilities, and uniquely, eight group rooms housed in wooden circus caravans. A remarkable architectural feature is a dedicated wing specifically constructed to house Eugène Delacroix's monumental painting 'The Death of Sardanapalus.' Today, the château functions as a sophisticated business events and conference venue.
