Le Castel de Floirac, originally known as Château Ledoux, is a mid-19th-century castle constructed around 1852 for Blondel de Joigny, former mayor of Floirac. The property exemplifies the architectural evolution of the period, with an Art Deco extension added to its eastern and northern sections by the Ledoux family in 1924. Acquired by the municipality of Floirac in the late 1950s, the castle's surrounding park became public green space while the building remained closed for decades. Listed as a historic monument since 2021, the château is undergoing transformation to serve dual purposes as a central dining establishment and cultural space, revitalizing this architectural landmark for contemporary community use.
