The Hôtel de Mézières, also known as Château Goguel, is an 18th-century mansion in Eaubonne, Val-d'Oise, northwest of Paris. Constructed in 1766-1767 by architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux as part of an ambitious urban planning program commissioned by war commissioner Joseph Florent Le Normand de Mézières, this historic building exemplifies refined neoclassical design. Enhanced with original gardens, a dovecote, and an orangery, the estate served as the town hall from 1913 to 1976. Today, the Hôtel de Mézières functions as a cultural venue, hosting exhibitions of visual arts and housing the Charles-Perrault Institute dedicated to youth literature studies. Its designation as a historic monument preserves its architectural significance for public appreciation and educational purposes.

The Château de la Chesnaie in Eaubonne, Val-d'Oise, is an 18th-century mansion built in the fourth quarter of the 1700s and remodeled during the 19th century. Inspired by the refined architectural principles of Claude-Nicolas Ledoux, the château showcases aristocratic residential design marked by elegant proportions and sophisticated detailing. Partially classified as a Historical Monument since 1979, it retains remarkable architectural elements including original facades, roofs, a grand staircase, and exquisitely decorated interior rooms such as a large living room, library, and formal dining spaces. Located fifteen minutes northwest of Paris, the château carries literary significance through its association with Madame d'Houdetot, who hosted notable figures including the Marquis de Saint-Lambert and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Currently hosting weddings and formal receptions, it welcomes visitors by appointment.
