Château de Versigny is an elegant 17th-century château situated in the Hauts-de-France region between Nanteuil-le-Haudouin and Crépy-en-Valois. Originally a 14th-15th-century stronghold that was destroyed during Cardinal Richelieu's reign, the current château was rebuilt in classical style beginning in 1640 and further remodeled in the 19th century. The estate's magnificent gardens were designed by the renowned landscaper Le Nôtre, the celebrated gardener of King Louis XIV, featuring formal French gardens with parks, woods, and agricultural lands united by carefully ordered perspectives. Protected as a historical monument, the family-owned property opens to the public seasonally from June to September.
