Château de Farcheville is a remarkable 14th-century medieval castle located in Bouville, Essonne, approximately 50 kilometers south of Paris. Built between 1290 and 1304 by Hughes II and III de Bouville, chamberlains to Philip IV of France, the castle showcases rare northern French architectural features including arched machicolations on buttresses and a rectangular dungeon. Originally a defensive fortress with moat and enclosure, it features a 17th-century logis and was home to the prominent Protestant Coligny family for two centuries.
