Château du Boschet is a striking 17th-century manor located in Bourg-des-Comptes, Ille-et-Vilaine, approximately 30 kilometers south of Rennes. Built between 1660 and 1680 by Pierre de Lescouet and Anne de Lys, the château features a grand main building topped with a mansard roof, flanked by four small pavilions, and a chapel dating from the same period. The formal gardens and hedges, likely designed by disciples of Le Nôtre, earned it the nickname "Breton Versailles," and the extensive grounds include beautiful servitude buildings. Protected as a historical monument since 2011, the château now functions as a bed-and-breakfast, inviting visitors to experience this exceptional Breton estate.
