Château de Bacqueville-en-Caux is a Norman estate located in Seine-Maritime, approximately 39 kilometres from Rouen and 72 kilometres from Le Havre. The property's origins date to around 1050 when the prestigious Martel de Bacqueville family, one of the Middle Ages' most prominent Norman dynasties, erected a fortress to assert their power and status. The original fortress underwent modifications and its intended fortifications were never completed. In 1764, the castle was demolished by its new owner, whose remains were repurposed to construct the present château. Today the property sits within a magnificent 10-hectare park adorned with century-old trees, featuring a central lawn, watercourse, and Mediterranean gardens. It functions as an exceptional venue for weddings, seminars, and cocktail events, welcoming visitors to experience its historic grounds and architectural heritage.
