Majvik Art Nouveau Castle is a stunning early 20th-century villa built between 1904 and 1908 on one of Kirkkonummi's highest hills, likely designed by architect Armas Lindgren of the renowned Hvitträsk design collective. The castle exemplifies National Romanticism with exquisite architectural details, prominent bay windows, and foundations built from granite boulders with brick and wood walls. Originally constructed as a summer home for Professor Arthur Edvard af Forselles, the manor played a unique historical role during World War II as part of the Porkkala area leased to the Soviet Union under the 1944 Moscow Peace Treaty, before being returned to Finland in 1956. Today Majvik operates as a congress hotel and event venue with six guest rooms housed within the castle itself, offering an elegant setting for celebrations and conferences.
