Glamoč Fortress is a medieval stronghold located on the northern slopes of Staretina mountain above the town of Glamoč in southwestern Bosnia. Construction began in the 14th century, and the fortress remained in military use until 1882. The stone fortress was commanded by notable historical figures including Tvrtko I of Bosnia and served as a strategic installation throughout centuries of regional rule changes. Though now ruined, the fortress offers insights into medieval Bosnian military architecture and defensive strategies. The site's elevated position provided commanding views essential to its historical role protecting the surrounding territory and controlling regional trade routes during the medieval period.
