CASTLES WANZE

Château Féodal de Moha is a medieval tourist site in Wanze, Wallonia, showcasing approximately 1,000 years of history through exploration of historic ruins and archaeological elements including chapel excavations. The castle offers activities designed for families and history enthusiasts, including escape games, guided tours, storytelling walks called "Balades contées," and nearby draisine (rail bike) excursions. Visitors can wander through the Mehaigne Valley in a protected natural environment, enjoying walks through the surrounding landscape. Château de Fumal in Wanze is a castle with roots extending to the 12th century, centered on a distinctive square tower and notable for its rare Mosan-style bell tower with a spherical shape. Rebuilt significantly after suffering damage during wars of the 1690s and a major fire, the castle was reconstructed by Jacques Mincé du Fontbaré in the early 18th century. Parts of the structure date to 1564, and the castle has been continuously inhabited by the Mincé de Fontbaré family while appearing on the Walloon monuments list. Today it functions as a private residence with vineyard operations on the estate.
